April 2002 Dream Weavers Newsletter

From Harry's Desk

Dear Dream Weavers:

Here we are in the middle of April with just two short months to go (very, very short). It seems like such a long time ago when I joined the group on this journey.

If you have not yet volunteered to help at Grand Chapter, please let the WGM or the WGP know how you would like to help, the more help the lighter the load. Remember, we particularly will need lots of help Saturday after the kickoff breakfast. We have been assured that the Informal Opening will be short with NO long speeches and all of the addendums will be Tuesday evening. At the last coordinator meeting our Sister Terry reported on the status of the new rug and the microphones (headsets), sounds like we will be in good shape on these two items.

Note: If you thought you had reservation at the Super 8 for Grand Chapter, you need to call the Super 8 & reconfirm your reservations and send a housing slip to Mary Ann Rhodes.

Remember, the May 11th Dream Weaver meeting at Orchid Chapter in Mulino. This meeting has also been designated a work party , so don't come in your best attire. After the meeting we will be working on the decorations.

For those of you that may not have heard, Sister Penny & I have made the announcements for the appointed Grand Officers for our Dream Weaver year. Now we will await the "elections" to see who our Associate Grand Conductress will be.

The Ways & Means table is a burden that needs to be lifted from our Sister Patti, there must be someone out there that can step up to this task. We need this effort to continue to build our funds for this next year and the years to come.

The Kale fund is continuing to grow, with Mac leading the way, we have had several sacks and boxes of pennies donated. One box had a number of "old" coins which Mac will get evaluated and not just turned into the bank.

The last two Grand Visitations for Sister Darlene, WGM, and Brother Brent, WGP, will be the 22nd at Deborah Chapter in Burns and the 25th at Carnation in Prineville. Let's make these last two fun filled and well attended for Darlene & Brent. Hands-Across-the-Border will be at Post Falls, Idaho on the 4th of May.

I would like to thank each & every one of you for our Dream Weaver year as Associates. The friendship and fellowship has been fantastic. Let's make the final push to close out the year and bring in the new one a big success. Our goals and dreams are getting ever so close to fruition.

Harry
